"With the recent rise of smartphone and handheld gaming capabilities, the visual novel market has become even more accessible with portable ports of popular PC titles such as Kira Kira and the Higurashi series on the iOS; not to mention a whole slew of independent titles just waiting to be discovered. The recently released Korean-developed Tears 9, 10 by Team DTR, however, easily represents the best amongst these indie titles as its story and presentation are both top-notch, following very much in the tradition of nakiges such as Kanon and Kana Little Sister."
