Neoseeker: Every once in a while reviewers get a game we know is going to create a stir one way or the other. White Knight Chronicles II is one of those games because there's really no gray area -- you either love it or you hate it. This can make for some strong arguments from both sides of the table, and it can be difficult to discover middle ground both groups can agree on. However, after playing nearly 70 hours of WKC II, I feel pretty confident I have discovered the golden brick road.
Gameplane: "Many games can astonish players with creative gameplay or emotional stories. Others are remarkable due to the fun we had with them, while some are simply beautiful. These are nine JRPGs, which made us fall in love with virtual places."
On November 26th Sony Japan will host a livestream on Nico Nico focusing on White Knight Chronicles II.
The livestream will be hosted by Producer Kentaro Motomura and Promoter Yasuhiro Kitao, and will come with an exceptional guest: Level-5 President Akihiro Hino.
I would take a White Knight Collection for the PS4 and a new game from Level 5 in the chute. As long as they keep servers up for awhile. I think they prematurely shut down servers for WKC on PS3. I know everyone is gonna be crying "Dark Cloud", but I'd prefer a new IP... WKC was originally supposed to be a trilogy, so there is no telling.
These games didn't get high ratings but for some reason I always found the series intriguing? And both games sold well. Maybe they'll make a new game in the series with an updated part 1 and 2
I still have my copy of WKC2. One of the most frustrating games I have ever played. Great though.
White Knight Chronicles was not the best game and got ripped apart by the critics.
Level-5 should make a sequel to the excellent Rogue Galaxy game for PS2. I loved that game!
Digitally Downloaded writes: "There's only a few RPGs left to release on the PS3 now. The majority of development for those scale projects is moving to the PS4... but it is worth noting that quality over quantity and those RPGs left to release on the PS3 include Dark Souls II and Drakengard III.
With that said, I thought we could look back at the PS3 RPGs - both western and Japanese, and which I personally felt were the finest the console could offer. I'm very keen to hear what your thoughts are and which RPGs are your favourite on the console, so be sure to sound out in the comments below!"
Fallout 3 should be on there,it's the game that got me into RPG's. Still play it and always will,Awesome.
There are a nice mix of RPG's to chose from on the PS3. Hopefully, Persona 5 will end up being a game that exceeds expectations and is the best of the bunch.
Persona 4 Golden (Vita) is simply amazing.
I am getting this game, it looks like a sweet RPG and as a bonus the first game is included. Two games for the price of one
Just started playing online (the ending of WKC2 was pretty cool).
Man I feel all the hours i put in WKC1 went to waste lol I can't wear anything :(
What is disappointing so far is the amount of recycled content.
They barely added any new armor-sets (thou they did add Mauls for Axes, so yay for that)
But I was disappointed to see that I'll be wearing my GR15 WKC1 armor-sets waaaaaaay into WKC2. Never the less, the combat re-haul is fantastic so far. Thou I think staff / bow builds are going to be super popular. MP regen builds are the way to go.
Looking forward to putting more time into the online next weekend.
i'm one of those who love this game...
it's using the market of monster hunter people , for loot , for adventure and it's a great game overall.
BUt this review is not great.
First the level Cap from the first was LV 50 , not 80.
Second , the tutorial is in WKC 1 .. if you know the story already , there is no problem , and if you don't you have to start from the 1st part .
third while i agree that signing the agreement each time you log on is annoying you can clear it by using up + X ( TIPS TIPS ) so it's not really an issue .
this game is very addictive, i love the six man party its so much fun.
this game just keeps on giving an giving. starting from the beginning with wkc 1 amd everytime i continue the games i get lost in tons of things to do. bounties, errands online offline quests. cotinue story. or spending hours in the shops and menues, buying selling crafting, not sure wy this game reviews so low. there is a ton of content.
btw whats best to do with loot. sell it, donate it,dismantle it. of combine it?
