What would they do though

Make the Human Revolution game into a trilogy or continue the game from the originals.

I would like to see more of Adam Jensen but he would be too old by the time the original games took place or even after. Unless they can bring him into some how. Maybe we'll find out what ending was cannon

<Spoilers>

Plus all this stuff with Megan reed...with the ending after the credits.

As much as I know it's often taboo to mention a remake / re-imagining of a game as well loved as the original Deus Ex, I'm going to do it anyway. I'd love to see them remake the original game. Human Revolution proved to me they're capable of carrying on the franchise and that they understand what makes Deus Ex special. In recent interviews they also seem to be very self-aware and open to criticism regarding some of the problems in Human Revolution, specifically the boss fights and sometimes ridiculous number of vents.

Regardless, I'm looking forward to whatever it is they decide to do next with the franchise.

Eidos is just full of assholes that don't want to resolve things that should have been resolved.

SPOILERS

Like the guy above me, the shit with Megan Reed. Arguably the most important character in the game is in only 3 cutscenes.

The sequel to Deus Ex: Human Revolution was released like 11 years ago.

I will go ahead and use another bubble to admit that it is plausible that they could make a sequel that fits between HR and the original Deus Ex. There is a fair bit of time between the two.

dinkeldinkse4643d ago (Edited 4643d ago )

But the way they ended Human Revolution seems to be a clear indication they want to release another game between the timeline of Human Revolution and Deus Ex. Most likely with Adam Jensen again or at least an appearance by him.

The way I understand it, Human Revolution is suppose to be a "reboot" anyway to give Eidos the freedom to make some changes that a normal prequel wouldn't be able to do.

Edit: For all we know, Eidos will be remaking the original Deus Ex anyway so they could do whatever they want with a sequel and still be canon.

Thing is, I don't want them to tarnish the original DX, but it seems like it's the only path to take.

:(

Making it 'okay' for modern day retard gamers that need pop up xp rewards for everythin they do.

Bullshit. Leave DX as it is. A Classic.

Thanks for bringing up the greatest movie of all time when I was 5.

Deus Ex Deserves Better Than Being A Scapegoat For Embracer's Screw-Ups

Hanzala from eXputer says, "After multiple delays, cancellations, and ownership changes, the misfortune of Deus Ex continues; this gem of a series deserves better."

maelstromb126d ago (Edited 126d ago )

One can only hope at this point Embracer will need to generate an influx of cash flow, and what better way to do so than to sell off some of its IPs... namely Deus Ex, to a competent and talented studio capable of delivering a game noteworthy of the name in future. And thinking about it further, I don't know why Embracer would sit on the IP vs sell it if it means staying in business or not.

I liked the Red Dead 2 opening, certainly didn’t feel like a slog to me, but I enjoyed that whole game so for those who were just expecting ‘GTA but with cowboys’, that was probably not the opening they expected, and Red Dead 2 wasn’t the game they were hoping for …

First game that came to mind when I read the title, was Watch Dogs 2, because you’re expecting an open world sandbox game in sunny colorful San Francisco, and instead that opening has you crawling and sneaking around an incredibly boring office building …

Watch Dogs 2 is a decent game but not really a classic. The opening is awful though. You got that right.

I loved the RDR 2 opening hours the first time but going back to restart it is where the rub lies for me.

Yi-Long313d ago

Yeah, I agree it’s not a classic, but it was the first game I thought of where I really thought; Why would you make that design choice!? If you’re gonna do a thing like that in order to teach the player some basic sneaking controls, at least make the location a bit more interesting, like an abandoned theme park or gorgeous temple or whatever, but now the gameplay was restrictive and boring, but also the location itself.

PrimeVinister313d ago

@Yi-Long Definitely true re the worst possible choices being made for the opener of Watch Dogs 2. I did enjoy WD2 overall but that intro is baffling :-D
