Chrono Trigger Hits PSN This Tuesday

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the words “Chrono Trigger?” I’m sure a lot of things, but I bet the first thing on your mind right now is “When can I get it?”

We’re happy to confirm that Chrono Trigger is coming to the PSN in North America on October 4th. That’s right—in just a few days, you’ll be able to visit (or re-visit, as I’m sure is the case for many of you) one of the most hilarious and unique casts of characters ever assembled in an RPG:

The only downside is that it will be the PSX version which i hear is horrid ~_~ /sigh damn you load times!

I heard that the load times were from the disc speed or something. Hopefully the problem gets fixed due to it not running on a disc. If so I'll pick the game up even though I already own FF Chronicles.

And it does have alot of loading, but that's because it's a CD.

HDD install with 2006 processing power? You shouldn't have those issues.

How different is it to the NDS release? Which one should I play?

Im getting this one so i can play it on my PSP. The DS version is obviously designed so the touch pad is mapped, and I think there is a boss rush mode and a few other bells like a nice bestary and an extra dungeon.

Yeah the menu for choosing commands is in the second screen thank god.

The original Chrono Trigger battles were kinda cluttered because of the menus taking like 1/3 of the screen.

I recommend the DS version to anyone as sprites and textures colours are improved and the translation has been redone so the dialogue is much better.

Nice, one of my top JRPG game. I think i still have it somewhere in my stash. This and Landstalker are the best. Should be great.
