Crysis 1 release date and price revealed

EA revealed a few weeks ago that Crysis 1 would be heading to consoles, but didn’t provide an exact release date. The good news is that they have now revealed a date and price, and it’s coming sooner than you think.

I'm opting for Payday. Nothing against Crysis, but Payday really looks good.

@ABYX The gamplay vids I've seen look really interesting. Basically L4D, but cops/feds instead of zombies. Teaming up with friends to co-op rob a bank just seems like a ton of fun.

Really interested if its a Printed Copy and not a downloadable, if i sell my PS3 10 years down the road and i cant download it off the psn ... My ps3 will. Look less attractive... My collection is nearing 90 games.. I love amazon , i wish i would of known about it and trusted it in the ps2 era, i actually paid $50 a game back then , most of my ps3 games have cost me $30 or less, only sad thing is the mail man has to get outta his cart... Also looking for resident evil 4 HD physical Copy

Crysis in a few weeks over Xbox Live and PSN??..wow that is a complete shocker too say the least.

Count me in..Day one. You simply can't beat that for the droves of console games who never played it on PC.

IMO..they should have released this first, then launched Crysis 2 in the fall. It would have made a better impact.

Check out the first review, it states it works well as a ps3 hard drive, and there are probably more reviews on Amazon that do as well. But that will work for you, and is pretty cheap, and you will most likely never have to worry about space issues again.

Definitely upgrade your hard drive space man. I've got a launch 60GB, and upgraded to 500GB. It's about half full with all the games on there, and will last me a nice long time.

I haven't seen any playable or even a screen shots for ps3 version yet and the game is being released in a little over a week. That makes me a tad concerned about why there is no info really.

All about the xbox with crytek it appears they developed some type of a friendship during the making of crysis 2 IMO.

The crysis 2 port I thought was supposed to be somewhat better than the 360 according to cevat yerli then he and lytek said both would be on par. We all know how that turned out. I bought that game for $39.99 best buy sale so I kinda scored when it was released. But it looked to me no where near as promised(Kinda like the dx9 pc version).

I have this game on pc but I wouldn't mind getting it for my kids on psn If its really going to be a comparable xbox title. I will just by it on xbl if the 360 has the better version since it is just a single player campaign.

@0 bucks isn't a bad price especially with the game upgrades that where mentioned.

I suspect crysis warhead next spring to even out the series and come closer to bridging the confusing gap in between crysis 1 & 2.

Well I will just wait till I hear about the psn version first and see how that plays out.

You'll probably be waiting for a year or two. Sales and price drops are rare on the PSN, and even more so when it comes to major publishers like EA.

Actually I have over three grand invested in the PSN for my PSP/PS3. I know what I'm talking about.

Compared to retail and Steam, the PSN is laughable when it comes to sales.

Right, PSN have discounts only either people are not very interested in product they are about to release (its either PSN who suggests to company publishing the game or publishing company itself tells lower price), or product isn't being bought much, so they drop the price and put it in the front of PSN page.
20Dollars for this huge game is nothing, Ubisoft releases their old games from 2008 (not HD remaster) for this price.

I got no time and no money to spend on Oct.4 as i have to get 3 games: Dark Souls, RAGE, and Spider-man Edge of Time! Then I have to decide which to play first! FML!

Maybe ill be on the Edge!--> Then go into a RAGE!--> And see where having Dark Souls! will take me!

Not only that but Infamous: Festival of Blood and Deus Ex: Missing Link DLC near the end of October! Goddamn! Not enough days in this month to finish everything!!

sure the game looks nice, but the campaign isn't that interesting. Played it on PC, and didn't even finish the campaign because of how boring it got. The free-roam aspects of it are much funner, I loved punching down trees and then throwing them at enemies. You can even punch sharks in the ocean!

lol.....DRM.....nuff said....So NOPE!!!!!!.....should'a put it on disc.....not even for $5 digitally, would i do it. Its the PRINCIPLE......I reject DRM in ALL its many forms , shapes and sizes.....nor will i be getting Next Gen Consoles probably for the same reason...THEIR NOT gonna have "Disc Drives",....mark my words,...lol, you'll see. p.s-..maybe a multi-player game or 2, i could that, but NOT Single PLAYER, I HAVE TO OWN IT, no compromise, and the insurance is having it on disc, and being able to access the content W/O needing an Internet connection....anything less and your just renting the content, that's it.

Nintendo had its opportunity too, but they too decided against it.

Dig Dist ONLY for full video game systems is going to be a ways away.

very nice comparison!!I did nt think that crytek was lying that the console version gets new lighting effects,but,i am astonished!!either i remebered crysis in a friends pc much better than it was,while it was nt,or,they did a hell of a job there in Germany!It ceratinly is not expected to surpass newlly modded textures and effects from the pc version,but the vanilla version of crysis,even with more resolution and aa,has trouble to keep up with the newer lighting!!let the disagrees from f-boys come,Octomber will hush some people who keep degrading the console version!(i still say the best way is to play with a good pc,but for a hardware 6-5 years launched,which means devised and prepped from 2004..it nothing short of amazing achievement!! p.s. i cant see the second part of the video,what gives?

The game everyone hated because the gameplay "sucked" is now gathering a whole lot of interest now that it's making it to pc. Imagine that...
