My top 3 are Mario 3, Mario World and Mario 64. Mario Odyssey is also excellent, and I enjoyed Sunshine but didn't care for the Galaxy series.

It's a combination of both 2-D and 3-D gameplay. This will be huge!
One of the few 3DS games I'm really looking forward to. Even a friend of mine who isn't even a gamer said she wants to play this. Something about Mario just manages to captivate the masses. Anyway, this looks pretty awesome. Once Nintendo releases the revamped 3DS with two analog nubs (because we all know it's going to happen), I'll get this game for it.
