Yeah...i kinda wanna play Hyperdimensional Neptunia but its way overpriced >.< although i did get Qoga on release date. Now i'm just wondering if i should get MKII.
I too, am glad I got the limited editions of those two games before they became rare. Atelier Totori, which is also published by NISA, will probably become rare as well.
I will be preordering H.N MkII also. As for Ar Tonelico Qoga, I wanted to get that but I'm not made out of money and I never play the other titles, I skipped out.
I still have the first one. xD Wish I remember who on N4G insisted that NISA limited editions are not limited and that the price for Hyperdimension Neptunia will fall in price.
It's really only the Disagea series that seems to be mass produce and on almost everything.
I have the Ar Tonelico collector's edition, although I only bought it out of curiosity and because I wanted a good RPG for the PS3. I didn't really care if it came with all the extra stuff or not, but it did. There are a couple of stores around me that have the Hyperdimension Neptunia collector's editions too, maybe I'll pick one up tomorrow.
My brother got that Demon Souls one, really awesome package. I think it even contained the Guide Book which is only found in the limited edition. That makes it even better.
i never understand why there are limited production runs from some publishers. games like ar tonicula and hyperdimension neptunia would keep selling if they were reprinted so why arent they?
It does especially for a small company that aims for the niche market which NISA does.
The only game they seem to keep printing is Disgaea but even that game has it's on and off.
If they make too much, and not enough copies sell, it could result in losses for them with titles such as Cross Edge, Last Rebellion and Sakura Wars. I wish sakura wars sold better as I really did enjoy that title but as for cross edge and last rebellion, those weren't too good.
NISA is a great company as they tend to take titles that are very niche and localization for JRPG is not cheap at all. It's why they aren't bringing any more Sakura Wars over because it just didn't sell enough (produce more supply than demand) and it takes a long time/lots of money to localize.
I've always wanted the UC2 Collector's Edition but Naughty Dog made it European Exclusive which is bull shit. Now I'm getting the UC3 Collector's Edition best believe that. I'd kill to have that Borneo Dagger/Art Book in the UC2 Collector's Edition.
The special editions of games that are worth having are games that have special additional content that other versions of the same game don't have. Otherwise all other types of special editions of games are a waste of money that contain a bunch of junk.
I know what someone will eventually probably come in defense of certain special editions of games like the modern warfare special edition game claiming that it comes with a pair of night vision goggles to justify the price. The fact of the matter is those night vision goggles are some of the cheapest on the market. If you want a good quality pair of night vision goggles you are going to pay 100's of dollars per pair.
I did get a laugh when I read up on the game called Hyperdimension Neptunia, because I sort of consider it the unofficial official game of n4g.
I thought it was going to be more than just bundles and/or special offers...
some games are consider rare just by themselves...
for example... it's not PS3.. but I think the original PSone version of Castlevania: SOTN is rare and I own it... not the version with the Green "Greatest Hits" written on it.. that was the 2nd one... I'm talking the one before that... I wanna say it's like 60+ if you wanna get it...
also what about the game Folklore??? I don't really know anything about it.. but I do remember reading it came out at PS3 launch and it was a pretty good game.... I bet ya that's considered a rare or hard to get game for PS3.
Lol the cod ones arent rare i could look them up online and find them cheap.
Now the uncharted one that's a rare one weren't only a select few made if i call correctly??
I thank God I was able to buy Ar Tonelico Qoga for $60 and Hyperdimensional Neptunia for $50. lol!
I better get Hyperdimensional Neptunia MkII on release day to be safe. ^^
railfan games are pretty rare are they?
I so angry I didn't buy elite when I saw it randomly on the shelf and I'm glad I got hyperdimension
