Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Review - LAG

LAG - "Marvel vs. Capcom 3 was released on February 15th, 2011 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. It’s a classic sidescrolling fighting game where characters from the Marvel universe do battle with some of Capcom’s most popular video game characters.

There are only a handful of fighting games that have caught my interest in the past. Soul Calibur, Super Smash Brothers, and Mortal Kombat. Nowadays, Few fighting games are geared towards the average gamer, instead opting for the experienced fighting veterans. Marvel vs. Capcom 3 attempts to appease both crowds. This is my first marvel vs. Capcom experience and I’m by no means a tournament player. This is a Lazy Ass Gamer review after all."

It's a bit late for a review since Ultimate is out in 2 months but then again the name of the site says it all.

I don't think it's quite 9/10 but i think ultimate will definitely be a 9 or higher.

As common as it is today, it is hard to believe that there was a time where gaming franchises crossing over was just a pipe dream. Capcom broke down the wall, but they took the combination of some of the most unlikely of franchises and made it the norm.

Whether it was a colossal successful partnership with Marvel Comics or a collaboration with rivals Namco and SNK, the “Vs.” series brought unforgettable experiences to the fighting genre.
