MMO elements will form part of games single player narrative. That's according to id Software’s Creative Director and RAGE creator Tim Willits who believes a social aspect could become an important part of all games.

Looking forward to the announcfement of Halo MCC coming to other platforms. I'd love to see an influx of new players for some blood gulch matches.
Speculated games that could be that 1 more thing.
Resident Evil 9 (maybe imo)
Persona 6 (not likely imo)
FF Remakes (not likely imo)
New Lost Odyssey (definitely not, its not a long running franchise)
Ninja Gaiden 4 (maybe and hopefully)
I really hope it's Ninja Gaiden 4 but its probably Resident Evil 9.
Not saying this will happen at this show but apparently a new a Halo could get announced. Yep a brand new Halo. Could be a spin off or something but. A new a Halo announcement would be pretty wild.
Saber Interactive CCO Tim Willits talked to Wccftech about the crisis of the game industry and how Saber manages in these hard times.
Wccftech interviewed industry veteran Tim Willits at Gamescom 2024, talking about the upcoming launch of Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 and much more.
Gamer: F**k that.
I really, really hope not.
Why do they think that everyone want to socialize with everyone else. If it's not this then it's a game you need to play as team or some other such crap. Sometimes people just want to play a game by themselves and after working all day that's exactly what I want.
THEY ALREADY HAVE!!!
The PC has many MMO's that play like SP games but have the extra added dimension and game play of being MMO's with thousands of other gamers running around.
Vindictus, FireFall, The Secret World are just a few that come to mind instantly were the single player campaign at any time can turn into a huge MP event then right back to SP campaign in an instant with out any stoppage or pausing of the game. You could be exploring along all by yourself and stumble upon a huge battle between other gamers, do you join sides, just watch, or move along? This adds an element to the SP campaign that regular games do not have.
I think mnay people have the wrong impression of MMO's and they only think of World of Warcraft when they see the letters MMO but WOW is just one type of MMO and it's an OLD type as the new generation of MMO's are basically SP/MP games all rolled up in one.....and yes you control your own combat just like any other First Person or 3RD Person shooter.
FireFall, The Secret World, Black Prophecy, Tera, World Of Darkness, Guild Wars 2, Planetside2 and a few more are all on my radar. MMO's are the Future!
Its already started. I think it will work best if done like demons souls, journey, and dead island. Blend multiplayer with the singleplayer but only set numbers more like co-op than an mmo.
It cant be mandatory on consoles because not everyone has internet and not everyone wants to play with others.
