Joystick Radio Reviews - Assassin's Creed

Joystick Radio Reviews Assassin's Creed.

Some info from the review:"It was well worth the wait. Assassins Creed was scheduled to release for as long as we could remember and we all began to grow frustrated with Ubisofts latest title. But as soon as Assassins Creed hit shelves on Wednesday and everyone ran out to get their copy, it met and exceded everyone's expectations. At first the game may seem a bit difficult to grasp and the controls may seem out of sync, but once you get the feel for things, you won't be able to put the game down. There is never a dull moment whether your scaling rough tops, pick pocketing, fighting soldiers, or of course, assassinating."

Nice review and score. The fun factor is indeed 10. It's not a 10/10 overall game but freedom and moving in game's big cities is crazy fun.

Got the game today, only played it for about an hour so far. Missed the entire story bit at the beginning but first impressions is rather good.

The lack of jump button hasn't fazed me yet. It's just cool to watch Altair leap from place to place with ease. The fighting is very cinematic, similar in a way to Heavenly sword in the way he finishes each enemy off. I haven't had too many encounters with the AI yet but did notice one guy grab me while I swung my sword at another and push me in the opposite direction.

The free roaming city is great and the Assassins flags reminded me of the hidden package malarky in GTA. As far as screen tearing goes, I've only really noticed it inside the lab.

Great so far and happy with my purchase.
