Gamers-Underground.com writes: Red Orchestra 2 is not a combat simulation, and it's far too stiff and restrictive to be arcade. What it winds up being is a frustrating clunk of an alpha-release WWII themed shooter. Gameplay machanic choices are confused and lead to an end product that doesn't know what it wants to be - let alone deliver what works instead of what seemed like a good idea over pizza and beer. The development team is clearly inexperienced, and while somewhere deep down inside I admire their efforts, it's not a satisfactory result by any stretch of the imagination.
Popularized by Doom in 1993 and still making video game haters gnash their teeth today, first-person shooter games are the best thing to happen to gamers since pizza rolls. So here are 15 underrated first-person shooter games you may have missed.
Although the late 2000s Turok wasn't my favorite, I would love a new entry. Open world survival with shotguns and dinosaurs. Not sure how we'd get the fusion cannon, but that would be pretty sweet too.
Lol
All of these games are pretty much universally praised. Outside of Timeshift I literally own all of these.
XIII, The Darkness 2, Far Cry: Blood Dragon, Timesplitters: future perfect, Bulletstorm are awesome games
I played them all, they are all good in their own way
I used to be obsessed with FPS games
Today I would like to show off the Baikal shotgun, which you saw in render form during my last communication in action.
Gaming Respawn takes a look at the Top 10 simulator games to play on PC this year.
Not one flight simulator listed like DCS World one of the most hardcore flight sims ever or a racing simulator like iRacing? Really poor list
I clicked, curious where in the list DCS World would appear.
A top simulators list that doesn't include DCS World is a poor list.
A top simulators list that includes no flight simulators whatsoever is an extremely poor list.
A top simulators list that includes no flight sims or racing sims is a joke.
The fact that Bus Simulator made the list at all makes the list absurd, even Farming Simulator is better than that.
It lists ETS2 but not the new American Truck Simulator?
I agree, a very poorly thought out list.
Wow...a 4.5/10? This game is great and so far the reviews have shown it is an above average game. Is it the best? No. But it is certainly better than a 4.5/10.
Red Orchestra 2 is an amazing game, no doubt. It has a lot a depth, it's tactical and it delivers a thrilling experience.
BUT.
It's plagued by bugs, crashes and a shitload of other problems. The game has crashed at least 30 times on my PC right now, the day 1 unlocks aren't working, there are some really annoying bugs going around, performance issues and there's even more.
This game should't have been released in this state and currently it's a slap in the face of those who pre-ordered it. I understand TripWire is a relatively small company, but this is just plain ridiculous.
Really?? It looks pretty solid. Must reviews say it's pretty solid. Sucks about the bugs, though.
Yea I agree, it gets an 8.5/10 from me....when its working.
Great game but it shouldn't even be called a beta in the state its in right now.
"Red Orchestra 2 is not a combat simulation, and it's far too stiff and restrictive to be arcade."
That's the problem. If you want arcade, go play COD and such. If you want something a bit more realistic, then RO is your game.
