LittleBigPlanet is the working title of an upcoming video game developed by Double Eleven Limited and Tarsier Studios for the PlayStation Vita handheld game console.
The game was first announced in January 2011 along with the reveal of the PlayStation Vita console, previously known as the Next Generation Portable (NGP), and the first details of the game were revealed on 6 June 2011 at the Electronic Entertainment Expo. The game is scheduled for release in 2012.
According to Moonphase Diary, a TV anime of Ishiguro Masakazu’s comedy manga series, 「Soredemo Machi wa Mawatteiru」, has been green-lit for production. It will be shown on TBS. No scheduled airdate as of yet.
The release date for Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is a little over a month away, but the game may have a future beyond the PlayStation Portable. GamePro contributor Ben PerLee describes an interesting interlude during his Peace Walker Bootcamp experience.
"So after I had done the preview, [Konami] had a Q/A session with us to get our complaints/ideas about the game," PerLee reported. "Other than the basics, they asked what we thought about if they released it on PSN for the PS3 as well and had online multiplayer."
