The Gunstringer Not Possible on Wii or PS3

Andy Robertson writes: "The Gunstringer is one of a new crop of Kinect games. But unlike the others I've seen so far has the essential ingredient of not only embracing the technology but creating an experience that literally would be possible with either the Wii's MotionPlus or PS3's Move controls."

Update:

Description should read "but creating an experience that literally wouldn't be possible with either the Wii's MotionPlus or PS3's Move controls."

Twisted Pixel tend to release games for the Xbox 360 (although the maw is on PC).

Wonder if they'll start to make games for other platforms?

I played the demo and it would be much easier with the Wii or Move. First off, it wouldn't be on rails, you could control the character. Secondly, you would be able to aim and shoot with much more precision. I say this cause the hand you use to aim is also the hand you much pull back in order to shoot which means that it disturbs the aiming. Besides, AUTO AIM is really, really a big part.

I don't see see what part of the game is not possible on Wii and PS3. Hell, it's not like the graphics are that much better than a wii game.

Honestly, I played the demo, and the controls work really well. They take a little getting used to but still

And the reason why is because you really need to use both hands. Wii and PS3 tend to use 1 handed games for their motion controllers (excluding the thumb pad thingy for the Wii which you hold in the opposite hand of the wii mote) and as I just said, this game requires both hands.

You could use two move controllers, problem solved. Or you could use a nav controller and give the player the ability to move around freely instead of the on-rails gameplay the Kinect needs.

Besides, say you used to moves, instead of having to flick you arm back to shoot, just aim and press a button, much easier and more accurate and they could lay off the very HEAVY aim assist.

The description doesn't match the title..

Dang, should have read "but creating an experience that literally wouldn't be possible with either the Wii's MotionPlus or PS3's Move controls."

This is a great game, Twisted Pixel has really gone all out. I don't see how the game would work with anything else honestly.

Just like Boom Blox on the Wii and Tumble on PS3 Move - gesture games are best when they are tailored to the controls. Rather than one-size-fits all like Virtua Tennis 4.

tumble isnt a gesture game. its 1 to 1. meaning u dont have to swipe anything for an action to happen on screen.
