majiebeast2717d ago (Edited 2717d ago )

We dont even know the $ prices yet.

This might cheer you up awesome trailer of 25 years of zelda.

MasterCornholio2717d ago

The cards seem pretty pricey but they are not needed because the game carts have some memory for saves and DLC.

But i will pick mine up with a 16 GIG card for movies.

egidem2717d ago

Are these Memory Cards proprietary or are they like M2 memory cards?

MasterCornholio2717d ago (Edited 2717d ago )

Its a custom design by Sony. They did this to reduce the piracy problems that plagued the PSP

nikola9872716d ago

@MasterCornholio: Nope, they did that for more money.

Also some game requires these card or it can not be saved.

Vita 3G - $300
32 GB- lets say $115
a Launch game of your choice- $40
Some random accessory (protector/case/charger) - $30

= ~ around $510 with taxes. (not including 3G plan fees)(not including fees for importing if you wanted it early)

(3-5 hours of battery life)

And Vita, the dream handheld (including for myself) has taken a dive face first into the ground.

majiebeast2717d ago

You stay on the ground with it while im gonna enjoy a amazing ammount of launch titles unlike certain handhelds. Nice try of downplaying the vita but it aint working.

MaxXAttaxX2717d ago (Edited 2717d ago )

PS Vita - $250
Game - $40

Memory card - Not required for game saves.
Case/protector - Not required
Charger - It comes supplied with every system.

Battery life lasts over 9 hours.
And you may get either 3 or 5+ hours of gameplay time depending if you have the brightness and sound set on max w/ Network on or not.

It really just sounds like you're trying hard to make some kind of excuse against it.

Nicaragua2717d ago

Hmmmm, well how about you don’t buy the optional 32Gb memory card and “random accessory” and quit being such a whining douche ?

Stuff costs money – get over it.

mr_epsym_knird2717d ago (Edited 2717d ago )

You don't need a memory card to save games.

And you can't convert ¥ to $ directly. So the price of the memory card won't be as pricy in the US. I daresay the memory card 32GB would be price around $70 in US. Japan have been always known for their steep prices.

As for me, I'm getting the 16GB instead. 32GB is way out of my league. 8GB was already enough for my PSP. I'll wait for the inevitable price drop of those accessories before going for 32GB IMO.

nikola9872716d ago (Edited 2716d ago )

You don't? Well tell them (sony) that...

mr_epsym_knird2717d ago

And if you're complaining about the price, then why are you using the 3G model in your case? If you don't feel like you can afford it, go wifi instead. If you can't afford the 32 GB memory card , then buy the cheaper ones.

That's like common sense.

PSVita2717d ago

or $250+tx for the system and probably a game. If you feel the need to go all out good for you.

I would imagine that you need a memory card for much the same
reason as the psp. Namely psn content, personal music & movies.

SonyNGP2717d ago

Especially videos. Have you watched HD videos on an OLED display? They look GODLY!

Baka-akaB2717d ago

Sure but it's not necessarily a must have right at launch . You can easily just buy the thing with games , then later on a memory card
