STP: Flapcraft is a new entry in the popular genre of flying games on the App Store. It’s not an awful game, but it didn’t quite grab us the same way that other games of its type have.
Pocket Gamer: A lack of content clips its wings, but Flapcraft is a real hoot while it lasts. Definitely a flight worth taking.
Pocket Gamer: That title might suggest some kind of Minecraft clone where the only building materials are broken cardboard boxes. Happily, it’s nothing of the sort – in fact, Pixelmator Team's App Store debut is a surprisingly accomplished little game.
The story goes that in the downtime between wars, Vikings keep themselves in good spirits by flying through the air aboard wooden logs, sliding down rickety ramps to facilitate these brief airborne journeys.
Despite his best attempts to successfully manage time, Matthew Booth always overbooks himself and winds up behind. True to form, this week’s App Attack has 8 apps total because he couldn’t pass up a good app. He could have pushed two back to next week’s article but several of the games have recent release dates and each app deserves recognition. This week’s apps left him plenty entertained and at times surprised at how fun they were. He hopes you’ll purchase a few and experience the same thing.
