Arkedo and Sanuk Games have announced that “02 – Swap!”, the second installment of the Arkedo Series, will be available on PlayStation 3 in Europe on September 21st for €1.99 / £1.59.
DHGF: The Arkedo Series is definitely something that I wish we PS3 owners could have experienced long before, but it is turning out to be worth the wait. Swap is a solid puzzle game with a great deal of strategic depth and enough bells and whistles to keep even the grouchiest of players happy. Hopefully, it will become available for purchase in the U.S. soon. Until then, it might be wise to invest in a European account!
PushSquare: "Swap is an evocative name. The second title in the Arkedo Series — ported to PlayStation Network by Sanuk Games — is a simplistic puzzle title in which you — that’s right! — swap blocks in order to create chains of four similarly coloured squares, and ultimately dismantle a growing tower of primary colours."
ATemporaryDistraction.com: "A large quantity of puzzle games that come out post-Tetris/Bejewelled tend to operate under the assumption that in order to be better, their games need to be more complicated. It’s a tactic that rarely works; the best puzzle games are those that embrace simplicity, giving hardcore and casual gamers of all shapes and sizes the ability to pick up and play them instantly during a commute or lazy afternoon without the obstacle of a complex learning curve and usually prove the most fiendishly addictive as a result. Arkedo Studio understand that completely, and Swap! is match-four puzzling boiled down to its most devilishly addictive elemental simplicity."
