From Activision to Vanillaware, the PS Vita is garnishing developer support that even the PS3 didn’t see in it’s early days. However one well known video game company seems to be falling behind others when it comes to Vita titles.
development, i'd be surprised if they're even ready for PSV... of course, that shouldn't stop them from releasing PSP remasters...
you mean when theyve had constant profit and had there highest profit ever in 2009 and are anticipating there second highest profit ever next year? Terrible
I think he means he doesn't like some or all of the games. Therefore they are all disasters. :) EDIT: For the record I'm agreeing with you.
TGS i think they are waiting for this event, many Japanese publishers will have surprises for the PSV. Edit: just read the article, apparently SE don't have anything new for the PSV, now i'm scratching my head. well some great things are coming from Japan to the PSV, Gravity Rush Persona4 and Dragons Crown
They've been doing more publishing than developing, lately. Maybe as gamers we should focus more on the games they deliver instead of the money they make.
Gotta love how fanboys ALWAYS point to financial data instead of, you know, more qualitative statements. Guess what? If you've ever pointed at sales data in an argument about gaming, you are NOT a gamer.
Hmm...S-E were good on Portable this gen.
They were amazing and are going out with a bang with type-0.
Until SE finally releases FFXIIIVs, develops Kingdom Hearts 3 or remake FFVII. We should not really expect much from them.
Final Fantasy type1&2 are probably going to be a Vita releases thats if there is a type 1&2 also they did show support for the PS3 otherwise 13 and versus 13 wouldn't be on it I mean one of them is multiplat and the other one is still one fence but theyre still on the PS3
As long as Wada is still the boss of Squeenix I don't expect anything groundbreaking from them.
So true, a Japanese giant is dying a slow death with Wada at the helm. The sad thing is it could redeem itself so fast with a few key titles, but the company seems preoccupied with making awful business decisions. Come on Square-Enix, get your act together!
I think Square is taking their time and going to select a remake FF titles to throw on the Vita. They have been great remastering the old FF games playing the same game over and over on differant consoles with a few added features. Quite honestly I want something new like oh say VS13 or maybe KH3 or even Chrono Trigger on the PSN.
The only thing I see them doing for Vita is a version of FF0, and remakes/sequels of Dissida and Crisis Core. On the other hand, the PSV could give them a number of benefits/excuses to stand down from the level of game making they promised at the beginning of this gen while doing better than they actually delivered once they get a good look at the hardware.
They are on the developer list for the Vita so I fully expect to see at least one Vita title they have been working on at TGS.
Them dedicating 30 minutes in their conference to phone games scares me a bit but they did bring Both Dissidia's, Crisis Core and Type-0 as well as others to the PSP so i can't see why they won't jump on the Vita. However if you told people do you want a Vita game or all hands on deck for Versus then i'm sure everyone will say the latter. After Type-0 and FFXIII-2 releases i'm sure Versus will be the main priority. They might have learned from their mistakes of announcing a game far too early like they have done with all the FNC games. Also they did trademark Type-1 and Type-2 so if Type-0 has sequels then i'm sure they'll be on the Vita.
I'm positive there doing something with the vita they just haven't announced it yet. And with the FF 25th anniversary coming up they will probably do something with the vita. Maybe theyll do the same ting theyre doing with DQ.
Square Enix make a good sequel to Brave Fencer Musashi, and a console sequel to Final Fantasy Tactics
This article is so hilarious. What I got from it is "waaaaa I am a fanboy, I need every developer to have 50 titles right away waaaaa. And if they dont I am going to scream" They have chocobo racing dq slime 3 kingdom hearts ddd ff type zero ff 13-2 dragon quest X AT LEAST AT TGS. This is the non suprise stuff. If your a game fan or a square fan. You like that lineup And who cares if they put 30 minutes into smart phone stuff? Did you see what else at least they are showing? Most likely its a way to show off chaos rings 2. "Sega is opening a new studio in the UK to develop exclusive games for the Vita" pure bullshit by the way
How can I disable the F ad on the right side of every N4G page ? it is so annoying.
I would love to know this information too, its really annoying
chrome has an awesome adblock extension, you can pretty much decide which ad types you want to see. i block all the ads like this like and leave the non-intrusive ads so that i can support the website. http://code.google.com/p/ad... if a webpage ever starts playing sound i right click that page and block it lol, i almost never get crazy intrusive ads anymore because ive blocked the suppliers of those ads.
Yeah I'll be listening to music and then I'll start hearing some annoying bi**h talking about some robot I dont care about.
yeah it was that Robonut, it gets annoying when you hear about him 557465 times
I hate fanboy rant especially a fake fanboy rant. I mean I would want them to announce games for the Vita but you got to be kidding me if you think Square Enixes'hands aren't full this coming season what with FF Type 0, FF XIII-2 If Atlus just announced a heavily anticipated game last week for the vita, why can't the author WAIT a little bit for one of the bigger and more important japanese developers. Oh yes, the author is hoping for hits knowing that a Square Enix article is gonna get hate. Stupid.
If they want to be realistic, a new, original Final Fantasy game will help Square AND the Vita. Hell, it doesn't even need to be original...
What's with being surprise? Square have no budget for new and huge games.
Because of developmental issues of the digital version (of KH: BBS) the title was never released on Ps Store. With the Ps Vita though, the process will be the same as physical and digitally distributed "wrappers" (or w/e the technical term is) of the game. Square Enix have no problem with the technical side of the PS Vita. Perhaps, Square Enix do not want to disrespect the PS Vita and Sony portable legacy they have built up by launching or announcing only inferior projects. People love Square Enix in this website, though. That and PS Vita. Makes sense, the website has a FF vibe and PS Vita looks like something from a futuristic FF/Kindom Hearts world.
I would love a new FinalFantasy Tactics on the Vita. Do it square please.
damn if they dont bring games to the vita...
They'll get around to it. I'm sure in the following weeks they'll announce many games that make you soil urselves. Who knows, maybe that long-rumored Final Fantasy VII remake will be announced.
Yeah i hope they can manage to remake it just like the tech demo they showed off for the PS3 http://www.youtube.com/watc... The Vita is more than capable of producing visuals close to the tech demo
So wait. Are you actually saying that you want news on a possible game for that tiny 5" screen rather than getting closure on Versus 13?
