OXM UK: "Bodycount's art director Max Cant reckons the best solution to the "problem" of exaggerated violence in games is not to play games that feature exaggerated violence. Who knew?"
Have some of that, Keith Vaz.
Yep, thats what the age rating is for..
No one's complaining about Bodycount's violence; they're complaining about Bodycount's suckiness. They're just making up stuff to get attention.
Or perhaps they're just answering questions about videogame violence. You know, that "interview" thing.
What I said had nothing to do with what you said. Lying title: "Don't like OTT game violence? Don't play OTT violent games - Bodycount dev" Actual question: "Do you think some people will always object to violence in entertainment, even when it's so clearly over-played?" The question had nothing to do with videogames on a specific level, but it asked about entertainment in general. Actual quote: "If people are going to get upset over games like that they're probably better off not looking at them." He answered a question about general entertainment with a answer pointing to games; on top of that, the writer then misquoted the developer to drum up hits. Like I said, they're just making up stuff to get attention. So no; they weren't just answering questions about videogame violence, because they were never asked a specific question about videogames. That's what happens when you read the article; you know, that "interview" thing.
Games site asks game developer what he thinks of violence in entertainment, gets response that pertains to games. Seems perfectly defensible to me, but then I lack your admirable interpretative faculties. And the title isn't a "lie", it's a reformulation of what the interviewee actually said. That's a dodgy practice in theory, I'll grant you, but there's no distortion here.
They're not "lying," they're paraphrasing him for the headline. A headline like..."'If people are going to get upset over games like that they're probably better off not looking at them' - Bodycount dev"...would be pretty ridiculous.
Game is hot. Single player is excellent. Deathmatch well not so much. Coop is cool. Reworked single player settings, wave based levels. Looks like it could easily hold up to 4 players but you can only have 2. Weird. But the single player is where its at and I would play it Coop for fun sake. Not worth $65 but its worth 30. No doubt about it.
