Chris Buffa (Modojo): Jetpack Joyride's Barry Steakfries reminds us of American Beauty's Lester Burnham, minus the infatuation with a high school cheerleader. While suffering through a dead end job, the adventurous Steakfries makes a lifestyle change, except instead of smoking pot and lifting weights, he breaks into a top secret research facility, steals an experimental jetpack and goes, well, on a joyride. Well played, Barry. Well played indeed.
There’s a limited-time crossover celebrating Metal Slug in Jetpack Joyride. The in-game event runs for three weeks.
Each week Sony brings PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and PlayStation Portable owners new content, add-ons, games and more with the PlayStation Store Update.
PP: Not all is good with Barry Steakfries’ return. No, instead of being a typical free-to-play game (the game features a ton of in-app purchases,) you’ll have to stump up a few quid before being pressured into micro-transactions.
