Daniel writes - "Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford announced at PAX this last weekend that we will be likely seeing more Duke Nukem in the future-- and soon. It's not very surprising, to be honest, given that they picked up the entire Duke IP. He is now their plaything, to be made into whatever they please. I really don't think they'd go to that trouble just to release Duke Nukem Forever, even if it did manage to sell a surprisingly high number of copies.
"And then soon… I know that you guys figured out that, when Gearbox acquired the franchise, we didn't do it just to make sure we could all play Duke Nukem: Forever," said Pitchford at a Gearbox community panel, "we wanted to make our own Duke game. Soon, we'll talk about that, but not today."
that's a natural thing, they haven't bought the IP 2 make it sit idle, let's hope the next 1 will be much better than forever.
Let's also hope it won't take FOREVER to make too ;)
Actually good. I quite enjoyed Duke Forever for what it was. It'll be good to see how it can be adapted for modern times with a full, sensible developmental process.
hell yeah!!! hail to the king baby!!!
