Crysis: IGN's AU Review

Your eyeballs will melt... and so will your PC: During your first days with Crysis, you'll spend more time staring at the advanced graphics options menu and various tweak guides on the Net (which are going to see some amazing traffic spikes when Crysis hits shelves) than the lush jungles within the game.

Really, I've always see Crysis as a tech demo for DX10 and the Cry engine, and they are really selling an engine rather than a game.

It's not a shallow game, you're just a shallow gamer.

I'm not saying it's a bad game, it just that do you expect they'll make money selling that game with requirements at that level? in the sort term they just can't justify the investment of engine development with potential game sell.

PC gaming tends to favor quality over quantity, and I hope it stays that way.

downloading game right now. I loved the demo. Most fun I've had with a game in a long time. I disagree with his review. The game should really be reviewed on a high end pc to be a fair review. 25 fps on medium at 1680X1050. BS! I have a very similar setup and I easily get 50 fps at those settinga. This game is much more than tech demo. It's gameplay elements beat most fps games. I'm tired of linear, non-open gameplay. COD 4 was good but too short and too linear. This game will blow Halo 3 out of the water. This game is a least 9.5/10 quality. Although his 8.3 is better than I thought he would give it.
