Giuseppe Nelva of DualShockers gives a good look to the Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine demo and is definitely pleased with what he sees.

it does look pretty awesome, doesn't it? Though I'll wait for it to be in my greedy hands before being overly excited :D
I was actually quite impressed with the demo. Maybe it was because I had played the Bodycount demo before and was underwhelmed. Even though it doesn't do anything really new, it's just fun to play and seems like it will have a decent story. Plus I like how brutal the melee combat feels.
I quite liked it, it's not perfect and there was a few things that annoyed me like no jump or crouch? Other than that it was pretty good.
It's quite good, Relic are a good studio. The PC demo felt a bit clunky though and it did have mouse smoothing/accel or something similar feeling even though I turned it off in the options :S But I presume the full release will have controller support so it's not a big deal and I will be buying it.
Anyone else annoyed with constantly having to ride the health/finishing move roller coaster in the demo? Your health drops way too quickly in this game and you're forced to wade into a pack of orcs to replenish.
that's exactly the point. You're a space marine, not a cowering gears of war kid, you're supposed to always be in the middle of the fray :D
ya but when the only reason they give you for being in the middle of everything is to keep your health ticking over you still don't really feel like a badass, more like a guy on life support. The health system should have been done better and the incentive for being in the "thick" of the battle should be something like upgrades or something. the real problem is you still taking damage from foes in real time while you have just done a combo and your in slow-mo. you have so many shooting and hitting you that as soon as you finish your combo and gain some health it's all gone anyway. i enjoyed the game, and I am a fan of warhammer so I am really happy to see a game like this come out, but I would change the health system a bit.
