Catherine [Shogun Gamer Review]

Ian Fisher writes: Catherine is one of the few video games out there to tackle a mature subject matter and not feel entirely contrived throughout. With some incredible writing and voice-acting that is some of the best I’ve heard all year, Catherine is a strictly mature game that doesn’t rely on cheap thrills or occasional promises of T&A to keep people entertained. The story also isn’t the key saving grace as the gameplay is engaging despite it’s somewhat puzzle and adventure based nature, which may not be for everyone but still offers some good challenge and engaging elements. Whether you’re in a relationship, single or simply broken hearted Catherine is one of those games that has to be played to be believed and fully appreciated since it takes a serious subject matter and somehow makes it approachable.
