Nintendo Life Wii Review: Xenoblade Chronicles

It's been a strange year for the Nintendo Wii, with a sparse release schedule and many proclaiming the death of the console. Yet here we have Xenoblade Chronicles, which debuted in Japan simply as Xenoblade in June 2010. This current release is only available in Europe and PAL regions, prompting fan-group protests in North America. To be blunt, this is a game worth fighting for, and an adventure on a scale almost inconceivable on Nintendo’s ageing console.

@gw4k-why say that? By your logic, I'm guessing, i should NEVER have played anything on PS2 once 360/PS3 and Wii released? I'd have missed some great JRPGs had I done that-the last two Persona games springing right to my mind.

I guess I can't be enjoying the games i play via emulators either. Silly me! A good game is a good game and this seems to fill the criteria for being one too.

Also, it's common to see PSN or 360 Fanboys wig out when someone says something they don't like but I never expected to see Wii Fanboys.... HAhaha That is awesome funny!

Xenoblade Chronicles is awesome! I've Only played 5-6 hours so far but Its a great game.

I wont spoil anything for you, but If you have a Wii you should get it.

just this year Ive played classics like tactics ogre psp, trails in the sky, 3rd birthday, ff iv psp, pokemon black white, KH recoded, dragon quest vi, radiant historia, and alot more that Ive imported

played 7 hours so far.. its good.. but my only problem with it is the combat.. feels... messy.

otherwise fantastic.

my rating of it would be 8.5 (mind only played 7 hours)

Yeah overall fantastic game so far, though the battle system isn't brilliant but its easy to get grips with.

Personally, I love when Ryen first says "Who else wants some" and then Shulk says "Piece of cake!"

I've played 13 hours and I love it!

The only complain I have is that the quests are too hard to keep track on. Sometimes you get no explaination at all and that's the only way you will be able to know what to do.

I'm about 15 hours in and I can easily see it as being one of my all time favorites already. It's really just that good.

its a really good game, im only 7 hours in but this is something special.

im new to this 'prpg' thing, so the battle system will take some getting used to, but im getting the hang of it now, its frantic at times when you are under attack but im getting there.
