Factornews:"DONTNOD has just lifted the veil on Adrift : as we confided our little finger last week, the game is set in a futuristic Paris with visual codes remind many Blade Runner."
interestingly it doesn't say that sony is the publisher or for which platform it is.
It also says "Concept art video", so who knows what this is.
If you look on the Youtube description is says Xbox 360 and PS3. No word on a publisher though.
Genre : 3rd person action-adventure Platforms : PS3 / Xbox 360 Release date : Fall 2012 Neo-Paris 2084 Augmented reality and memory manipulation have taken control of peoples' lives. You can now digitize, buy, sell or trade your own personal memories. The last remainders of intimacy have been swept away, in what appears to be a simple extension of the development of social networks and geolocation at the beginning of the 21st century. The "surveillance society" has been accepted by the citizens themselves, in exchange for a few technological benefits. It is a reality that no one even thinks of challenging anymore. This memory-based economy gives an immense yet uncontrollable power to a handful of people...
WHOA Wait! So it's NOT a PS3 exclusive? But why, I thought it was?
No info on a publisher. Sony could have picked it up late, who knows.
so it's not a ps3 exclusive...that explains why it was absent from sony's press conference.
you never know, it still could be ps3 exclusive. if not oh well, it still looks interesting!
DUST 514 was suppose to be on PC-only. That changed. Could be the same sort of deal here.
told you it was not exclusive. from the press release alone was a dead giveaway, not to mention no trademarks were made by sony.
if this is not the PS3 exclusiv, than on what is Dotnod working on, they signed a co-production deal with SCEE... http://www.dont-nod.com/new...
Maybe Sony dropped the deal?
As long as it's good, I don't care if it's exclusive or not.
My word! I know this is only a concept video, but if this is the setting and art style they are going for, it's going to be something mesmerizing and special. Love the music and general tone. PS3 exclusive or not, this looks promising. At any rate it's being lead developed on PS3, so that's a relief.
One thing I'm learning from this console gen is that early presentation and hype for something that's just shown off as concept = disappointment. Right now all I see is another FPS.
Where was all this level headedness when it was believed to be ps3 exclusive?
Heck, this is the first I've heard about this game. Wondering whatever happened to Datafly. Though given that it announced 5-6 years ago, was PS3 exclusive/then multi/then PS3 exclusive again, figure that it has to be dead.
the concept looks cool
is this also on the Wii U because it said right there in the bracket (PS3, Wii U, Xbox 360)
