Sony has confirmed, for CVG, a PS3 price cut to £199 in the UK.
I Want to buy one agian (to go with my 360) for U3 that looked amazing today , but i got a feeling that next gen is sooner than we think and i dont want to buy a console for the next gen to come out a year or 2 after i buy it
MS will drop their price. The next gen is closer than we think, technology is moving so fast these days. Im sure by the end of 2012 we will have more info about the next consoles.
Sony's Gamescom > Sony's E3 ???
199.99........ Oh oh.........
Wow, I didn't expect it to go to £199, now it's at an affordable price.
This is the part when the ps3 absolutely kills everything on the console market its hit the magic price point now
heard that before...
If you're that worried and can wait a while, wait to see if the ps4 has BC and then play all the ps3 games you missed out on then, The start of a console is always dry when it comes to games anyway.
is this for US too ?
For us it's $249.
$249 in usa
S&^&#$%#$#^ v!!!!! >:(
btw $249 translates to £150, so you're technically still getting a better deal.
loool i didnt even notice this was in pounds i was on my phone
Well theres a ton of great games that have already come out that you could play, but I wouldn't worry, look at how long the PS2 has been around for. The PS3 will be just like the PS2 only it will be supported much better for much longer primarily because its connected to the PSN. For 199, you can't go wrong.
price cuts across the board not to mention a used ps3 40gb 80gb should be dirt cheap now
Why the biggest show has to be in E3?why not anywhere else !
OK this is big news for uk gamers!
now...its gonna be a bloodbath
This is insane, I still remember buying the PS3 for £525 on launch day. I can't believe it's nearly been 5 years.
It was £425 not £525!
Expect sales to explode and trounce the Xbox 360. Always happens when a price cut is announced. I imagine there are scenes of chaos over at Microsoft as they scramble to patch together a price cut to counter.
Heard that before...yet to happen
Most UK supermarkets have been selling it at that price since last christmas. I bought mine for £192 from Sainsburys.
Now it's official. Didn't disagree by the way.
@CYBERSNAKE - That was cos they weren't adding the VAT rise. Now it's RRP is offically £199.
Which means they'll be cutting it further. PS3 for £160!?
possibly tescos will either toss in a free chart game at 199 or drop it to 170-80
Think i'll get myself a couple more on the way home from work tomorrow
show off lol
id rather get myself a 360 if they announce a price cut since i have so many ps3s
Check mate. I expect a price cut from MS soon. This is going to be an interesting holiday. The 299 bundle with Infamous 2 is a sweet deal. Sony is going for the jugular.
Wow more good news. Like I said Sony will dominate this holiday. 360 is dead and boring.
"360 is dead and boring." Not for the casuals it ain't!
Shame the 3d TV is way overpriced, I think sony's converter was broke when they decided on the price for that
yep i paid £700 for a 47" passive 3dtv n can get 40" active for £499 so cant see it doing to well to be honest
Well you get two glasses and it does feature stereoscopic split-screen :P You can't get that anywhere else so far :)
i can on mine :D (n got 4 glasses in box)..i think your find unless i am wrong that the splitscreen isnt 3d as it uses basically the same method that is possible on other 3dtvs to do this kind of split screen http://www.youtube.com/watc...
PS4 coming soon?? I hope so.
dammit i just bought a new system 31 days ago, litteraly best buy return policy is 30 days, i screwed up by 1 freakin day!
You could ask for them to give you the difference... might work
lol...best buy will tell you to suck a lemon. And then try to sell you a firmware upgrade for 150 dollars.
I almost choke with a McNugget after reading that. :( I'm so sorry about that
I didnt expect a price drop at the moment. Tough luck for my friend in Leicester, he got a ps3 about a week ago!
