Chronic Review: Ocarina of Time 3D

For many gamers The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is not only the best Zelda title, but the greatest game ever made. Unlike the case of Final Fantasy VII, it’s hard to argue with Ocarina fans because at the time of release it was one the most unique, polished, and well executed games to hit the console market (and still is). For all intents and purposes, Ocarina of Time is a masterpiece; one that has been surpassed by its many splendid sequels, true, but still a masterpiece in its own right. With that said, it was only a matter of time before we saw a remake of Ocarina, as, unlike Square, Nintendo isn’t allergic to money. But is the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D for the 3DS everything fans have been waiting for and more? Or does it fall a little short of the goal post? To answer both questions: “yes” and “no”…

Harsh review. The limited 3D viewing angle shouldn't count as a negative - every game on the 3DS has it.

Believe me, my issues are not technically with Ocarina of Time, but a mix of this being a lazy port and the game falling victim to the 3DS's issues. I don't blame the game for that one, per se, but it's still immensely annoying.
