Having already dismembered and unspeakably violated the once pristine corpse of Duke Nukem 3D, 2K Games are ready to risk making themselves leprous pariahs amongst PC gamers of a certain age and stripe by taking it upon themselves to ‘reboot’ the XCOM franchise. With a prequel. That looks like it will include NOTHING from the original that made it such a timeless classic. So why do we still care? For those of you that somehow haven’t played the original yet, we’ve done a wee review of why it’s still one of the best strategy games of all time. For those of you who have played it, well done. Have a Jaffa Cake and read on. You’re going to avoid that work one way or another, and you can’t check your Facebook again already can you? Can you? No? Good. Let’s crack on then.
The XCOM Complete Game Bundle includes lots of DLCs and games playable on the Steam Deck. You can save over €220 on the 17-item bundle.
With E3 starting next week, 2K Games revealed the biggest E3 line up they have for the year

COG: A group of industry veterans from the XCOM franchise have teamed up to launch the new turned-based tactics studio Bit Reactor.
From the *new* Xcom franchise. The original was developed by Julian Gollop and Mythos games. He is currently in charge of Snapshot games and his latest take on Xcom was Phoenix Point.
I'm all for more tactics games. played Phoenix Point on Game Pass (ended up purchasing it), it's good...but doesn't have that same XCOM 2 feeling. Would love to see what these guys have to offer
True - The intent behind making a game has changed.
I remember spending so many fun hours with this game on my Playstation 1, I even bought a mouse just to play this game, lol a mouse for a console! and so long ago too.
Xcom rules I almost feel like playing it now
Does it still have the base building and research parts from the earlier games? or is it 100% fps?
