F them. I really wish Notch would sue those clowns. He's too nice though. It's a strait clone.

You have obviously not played FortressCraft nor have you seen Total Miner.

That's nice; Minecraft is exclusively porting to the 360 (Well, technically it's coming to Xperia play....eventually, but how many people are going to play that?) and they already brought out a clone ahead of it to suck up a bunch of the potential buyers.

El_Colombiano4791d ago

I wonder if this is going to be released on PS3 before Minecraft releases on PS3.

cozmo1954791d ago

they can't sue them for anything

Not using their logo nor code

BeastlyRig4791d ago (Edited 4791d ago )

lol HorsesCrap sells $1,000,000!

Minecraft sells $3,000,000!

I wonder what mods will be on xbl?

Forbidden_Darkness4791d ago

Not 3,000,000 dollars.. 3 million units. And it's what.. 20 dollars for the game? So, that's a quite a bit of money.

Wonder how much minecraft will sell when it releases on XBL.

WrAiTh Sp3cTr34791d ago (Edited 4791d ago )

It'll have Kinect support, so I'd say a decent amount if intriguing enough...and if priced right.

Edit: Heartnet, the Arade version that MS is publishing? I haven't heard of anything like that.

Heartnet4791d ago

I was under the impression i got all future versions fore free... Hmpf! :L

ZugZug II4791d ago

WHAT?!?!?

I thought total miner was the best minecraft ripoff not lame fucking fortress craft.

OC_MurphysLaw4791d ago

What this tells me... XBLIG can actually sell. They just need to be more than shit efforts or massage games.

Neckbear4791d ago

Yeah, they just need to be blatant ripoffs at a quarter the price of the original.

WhiteLightning4791d ago

Notch took the idea of Infiminer and made it into his own game...Minecraft

Relogic took the idea of Minecraft and made it into their own game...Terraria

Fotresscraft didn't do that. The guy basicaly wanted in on Notch's success and made it for a platform which Notch hadn't got to....yet

radphil4791d ago (Edited 4791d ago )

@WhiteLightning

And that's why I have an issue with FortressCraft more so than what MC->Terraria, or Infiminer->MC.

They took elements, and improved/changed them to be unique.

What difference did FortressCraft do after playing around with the game? Even took the same build mechanics/look.

‘FortressCraft: Evolved’ now available on Steam

"FortressCraft: Evolved is now available on Steam for $5.99, game publisher Digital Tribe Games announced today via a press release obtained by Examiner.

With a series of gameplay improvements including TwitchTV integration and Build2Me, an interesting building feature that allows you to guide your cursor to and from a specific point you’d like to build, “FortressCraft: Evolved” appears to be a vast improvement over its 2011 indie hit predecessor."

FortressCraft Evolved - Building Excitement

The newest version - FortressCraft Evolved - has been recreated from the ground up in Unity to produce a new, more powerful experience in creative world building. Having learned much from their Xbox Live Indie Game success, the developers at ProjectorGames are busy building excitement among the community who are creatively sharing their constructions with wild enthusiasm."

The game was pretty lame. I think the PC is far too saturated with quality voxel world building games for this to really go anywhere.
They may have a market for those who literally will buy nothing unless it releases on Steam though.

ElementX3950d ago

I love voxel games and I've backed many of them. Right now I have Minecraft (of course), Masterspace, Vox, Terasology, 7 Days to Die, Xenominer, TUG (The Untitled Game), Planet Explorers, Starmade, and other similar games like Craft the World, Timber and Stone, Stonehearth (backed), Terraria, Star Bound.... I love them! There's always room for games with different features
