Chris Buffa (Modojo): When it comes to portable gaming, most diehard Nintendo fans would probably choose a DS or 3DS over an iOS and Google-powered device, which is perfectly fine, as the big N provides unique experiences they can't find anywhere else. Inevitably, though, many of these same people will buy smartphones and tablets, both of which have a fine selection of Nintendo-inspired titles to enjoy. Pocket Gamer: Golf is a peculiar pastime when you think about it. What other sport meticulously creates a perfect replica of nature’s habitats, complete with lakes, woods, and sandbanks, and then charges people insane amounts to knock a little white ball around it?
To most of us, it’s this inordinate amount of money, along with all the country club membership nonsense you have to endure, which puts people off golf in the first place.
