New Modern Warfare 3 Spec Ops trailer hints at possible competitive multiplayer features

As much as we pretend to care about Call of Duty games’ single-player campaigns, quite convincingly at times, multiplayer is what everyone really wants to know about. With Modern Warfare 3, developers Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games have thus far been keeping their cards uncompromisingly close to their chests in this regard, but yesterday Activision publicised a new Spec Ops gameplay trailer which, aside from getting us excited, arguably hints at what we can expect to see in competitive multiplayer modes.

I'm happy as long as there's still an AK-47. Best gun.

Liquid_Ocelot5064d ago

**IMO**

AKs74u aka Bin Laden >> AK-47

princejb1345064d ago

um attack dogs are carrying explosives at 1:13 this is gonna be very annoying
i like how killstreaks are used now, you throw a smoke grenade at the location you want the killstreak to strike nice

Kee5064d ago

Yes. that's a lot more believable than the laptop-controlled variety of killstreaks

Red dot back like it was in COD4. Good sign cause Black Ops' red dot is awful. Still waiting for this to be 30 dollars used. Paying 60 for this another rehash is moronic IMO.

While i appreciate the gesture.... all of these retro classics have been made available everywhere else. I am hoping to see some other Activision properties make their way out of the shackles of the 5th, 6th and 7th gen. Licensing be damned... bring back the Transformers Cybertron games.

P_Bomb31d ago

Love the Cybertron games! TF games have been shit lately. Would love to see that era revisited. I even did the multiplayer!

MrBaskerville30d ago

Is the retro classics for all consoles?

Obscure_Observer31d ago

It’s a HELL of a game. If you like JRPGs in the family of Persona, you will be in heaven… that is until you hear the various battle music…. then you’ll be somewhere BEYOND heaven!

Just finished Clair Obscur. This should be fun.

Only a big company that has interest in gaming like Microsoft or Tencent could have acquired Activision. Extremely low interest rates at that time certainly helped.

Not exactly sure that a merger with EA would’ve benefited any of their franchises or gamers. I imagine it would’ve been like the activision blizzard one were each publisher retains their own identity. So Activison-Blizzard-EA. But who knows.

If it was owned by EA, COD could’ve disappeared a looong time ago. They have no clue how to manage franchises.

Gamingsince1981115d ago

It's a shame EA didn't buy them then, COD should die, it's past its prime and has been since black ops 2, I started playing it when cod 4 mw first came out and it has been downhill since.

thank goodness we dodged that landmine 😒
