GB writes : Take Two Interactive has reported a loss in Q1 of financial year 2012. They have also confirmed that Team Bondi developed L.A. Noire has now shipped 4 million units while last year Red Dead Redemption has shipped 10 million unit
. Well, Michael Pachter has said that Duke sold around 1.5 million and that Take-Two would make around 30 million off the title. They bought Nukem in 2002 and then hired Gearbox in 2005 to complete the project. I doubt the loses are from Duke nukem. I think Take-Two are pocketing the money and then cry poor like Acclaim did back in the day. Take-Two were recently crying for some investment dollars...lol...I doubt M$, or anybody else will give these guys any money after the GTA debacle. If they did, it would have to be for an exclusive.
I hope this means another RDR game
Every time a new GTA comes out Take Two always post profit but years without a GTA will always be a loss due to GTA being that companies COD except it is not a yearly title.
I really hope no one buys them because of this.
Ye bring on Read Dead 3.
Duke Nukem really screwed their quarterly.Randy Pitchford really let everyone down this year. Anyways,I loved both RDR and LA Noire and I'm coincidentally playing through Undead Nightmare right now.I hope RDR gets another game in the near future.
It seems take two always posts losses. It's unfortuante because they publish amazing games (mostly).
