Take your time Sony, give us something special.
Don't rush it and then throw in thousands of "Add-ons".

Hate that shit

@ Quagmire below

Have you seen the Vita?
It's pretty damn slim you know.

Quagmire3611d ago

You honestly dont expect there to be a PSV Slim?

That would be a first from sony...

BrutallyBlunt3611d ago

I agree, there is no rush. I want to see a strong line-up instead. The thing looks damn sexy and I want to know more of how it will interact with the Playstation 3 and how much developers adopt that link between the two devices.

I saw that coming from a mile away.

DJMarty3611d ago

@SonyNGP - Everbody should of, Sony already said that Vita would be out in 1 region(expected to be Jap first) in 2011, and in all regions within the 2011 fiscal year(which ends March 2012). That was said at E3.

So did I. And I got a boatload of disagree's for it. But Vita doesn't fit into the western launch scheduel. I mean when you have: Gears of War 3, Forza 4, Battlefield 3, Zelda Skyward Sword, Mario Kart 7, Batman Arkham City, Skyrim, Rage, Uncharted 3, Twisted Metal, MGS HD Collection, Dark Souls and Modern Warfare 3 coming out between September and December, where does Vita fit in? It won't sell if Sony released it among all of that.

So I'm glad they've announced a 2012 release date. Probably January-February. Means that many of us can buy all the great games coming out in Q4, play them, finish them and then save up some money over the holidays so we're ready for Vita to hit in the new year. I'm happy.

Plus they did say many times that they aim to launch it in a phased nature between now and the end of the fiscal year.

in a way its good now i can enjoy uncharted and that for the rest of this year

StarWolf3611d ago (Edited 3611d ago )

you wouldve always been able to enjoy uncharted. and 'for the rest of the year'? youll beat it in 1 sitting.

Hopefully this gives some devs the time so they dont rush their launch titles. Sony is pretty strict on deadlines, a good example is Socom confrontation and KZ3 - Both released 6 months too early.

Pacman3213611d ago

I completely agree with what you said about KZ3 releasing too early. You could just tell that Sony rushed them to release it at the start of 2011, it would of made more sense if they released it now since there aren't any big releases on PS3 until next month when Resistance 3 releases.

Yeah, hopefully they will be readying a smart, strong marketing campaign as well. As cool as this device is, they will have forces they will have to overcome. I will have plenty to play on my PS3 and PC until this Vita is released. Hopefully the delay will ensure the device has the success it seems to deserve. Maybe I will pick up a 3DS in the mean time.
Still crossing my fingers that the Vita will be available this year and the sooner the hardware comes to market, the more impressive it will seem. I have a feeling this thing is a BEAST by today's standards.

MasterCornholio3611d ago

I already knew Spain would not get it until 2012. But hey even with a slight delay i am not going to rush in and buy a 3DS i shall wait patiently for the Vita since its more than worth its sticker price.

Also i dont know why people think that Sony will drop the price of the Vita because of the 3DS. Sure the 3DS will be cheaper but most people still view the Vita and an excellent buy. Unlike the 3DS at its previous price point.
