The EVO 2011 tournament has passed. Each EVO brings something new to the table, and this year was no different. The first (and last) showcasing of Marvel vs. Capcom 3, the first appearance of the unbalanced Yun/Fei Long –fest that was Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edidtion, and the premiere of Mortal Kombat (the first American game in EVO), all showed their faces for the first time at EVO, along with stand-ins Tekken 6 and BlazBlue. The tournament had many, many shocking upsets, fantastic comebacks, and great commentary overall that kept me up to speed with what in god’s name was happening. Let’s run through some highlights.
