no advanced graphics settings on pc? bummer
. I think the gamers from their respective platforms will be the judge of that. Good luck if there is a big difference. I hope they don't release a demo...lol...that will get the ball rolling. ;)
I'm fairly confident the game will be excellent regardless of platform.
Sounds like a rental...
Starting to have second thoughts here. I would buy this for the PC only consoles no, they are to many games to choose from on PS3 and 360.
Does it really matter? Of course the PC will look better. What id. is saying is that the games will play the same. At the end of the day thats what counts. I don't have a gaming PC so I'll be enjoying it on my console of choice.
Really? So I guess game play isn't important. As long the game looks good, it can be shit other wise. It is funny how disagrees happen, but no comments, or replies. Lets have it up for the nameless, faceless, internet trolls living in the basements of the world. In the real world most of you trolls wouldn't have the internal fortitude to even look me in the eye and disagree, or have a civil debate. But here on line where you are supermen, you have the loudest voice. Cowards.
id software typically put out solid games so im going to be buying rage as well because i the last game i played from id software was wolfenstein & i really enjoyed playing it & still own my copy today! This is the one im talking about not to be confused with the older one which i own as well... http://www.youtube.com/watc...
So the PC version will only have higher rez textures and better AA according to them. If you have a gamming PC the PC version is the much better option.
Port! When can we pc gamers get a break from all the porting, Crysis 2, Skyrim, Rage, nfs, COD 6 and up. I mean... freaking 6 year old ancient tech from consoles keeping the rest of the tech world in 2006(yes that includes the Wii U). And this thing about "The same game across all platforms" is BS! You pay for the superior platform you get the superior game, that's how I would do it.
u need to analyze this from a business and not from a tech standpoint. consoles are very popular, and even if you dont like it, the reality is that these days most people play the hardcore popular games in consoles. most poeple dont have the time, money, desires or the nowhow to keep up with computer tech, thus it is just easier for them to buy a console and not worry about upgrades, even if after a few years the games start looking the same while comp games imrpove dramatically. for example, i have enough money to buy the most advanced gaming rig. The money thankfully is not an issue for me. What keeps me from being a comp player, is that consoles are just easiers for me, and frankly i dont mind playing a marginally inferior version of a game. I dont want to worry about installs, being on the net as a requirement to play, the security devices inherent in the software, the constant upgrades, how cumbersome it is to play comp games in my home thater (i know its possible but, i just dont care enough to change my living room and keep the comp and the tv hooked when i want to play), etc... o and finally, lets not forget how many fantastic games that we still play today, were born out of a console. Dont act like the best games in the world were all developed for comps first.
"o and finally, lets not forget how many fantastic games that we still play today, were born out of a console. Dont act like the best games in the world were all developed for comps first." WRONG!!! Crysis, Quake, COD, Doom, Far Cry, CS, half-life, Team Fortress, UT, the very first fps and 99% of fps games began on pc and some where later ported to consoles (Halo does not count as its not a game but an advertising campage for M$ and a crap port to windows). PS: console gaming is more expensive than pc gaming, look up the numbers. Here in South Africa a pc game cost $50 to $60 and console games cost $95 to $100 when converting from ZAR to US$ as for a Console well......$500 for a PS3 and around $450 for an S#%tbox 360(Ya.. I'll buy a $500 ps3 before an crapbox 360)
(u need to analyze this from a business and not from a tech standpoint.) Yes we understand that, but its the dumming down, lack of graphic options, console type menus sometime the lack of key changing options, there's a lot of things the devs are just lazy about. My self I believe devs should go with each platforms strengths. (i have enough money to buy the most advanced gaming rig)this kills me my PC cost under £500 to build, plays Mafia 2(58 fps average) ,Crysis 2 (DX11 full tex pack highest settings FPS drop still average 28-30 fps) and DNF lol and consoles can get expensive aswell with addons can assure you my sons spend more money on their consoles over the years than myself on the PC FACT lol. I play on most platforms not just the PC, AC brotherhood on PS3 at the moment, probably GeOW3 on the 360 on release. PC Constant upgrades youngest son has my old Vista PC its over 4/5 years now not sure exact only hardware that has been changed is graphic card and sound card about year ago still same CPU/mobo and still plays most games last being Killing Floor, Bioshock so this myth of constant upgrading is a nonsense .
