IncGamers: Rage will "captivate" those that play it, says Creative Director Tim Willits.
Let the game speak it of it self.
here we go... like BRINK? lol
... what does Brink have to do with Rage asside from having the same publisher? O.o
@ paraguay You took the words right out of my mouth. Brink is this, Brink is that. Well, Brink is broken. Great graphics does not make an original fps. Most gamers on this site don't even realize Rage is linear. @MidnytRain You are right. It's the double standard on this site. I'm buying Rage but I'm not jaded by hype by the media. Every FPS this gen has nitpicked to death with the term linear. Who cares about how linear a game is. Crysis 2 is linear but watch the disagrees pile up. Unless it's a sandbox game it is linear. Rage has the media hype behind it. To say the game is different from other FPS is a lie. No I have played it. Does it have guns, can you jump, basically it's an FPS no more no less.
@mandf Maybe "linear" isn't the right word for it. I think the setup will remind some people of Batman: Arkham Asylum. It was a focused narrative in a somewhat open setting. It was a sort of mix.
I agree with title without even reading the story. I'm going with my Carmack, fanboy gut feeling on this one:)
. "Everyone that’s played it so far wants to keep playing which is a great sign and I look forward to finally getting it out of the door. That’s why we love to have people like yourself play the game for an extended period, having journalists play the game for more than 15 minutes is key because there’s simply so much going on "... ...isn't that nice...a little journalist a33 kissing can go a long way but not quite as far as the future of FPS's...lol The game looks great and I'm sure it will be fun, at least in the beginning, I'm a little world it might turn into the same thing over and over as some of the trailers seem to show...we'll see. Taking 7 years to make a game is too long. The gaming world has changed quite a bit, including the launch of a whole new gen...O_o...I hope it's not dated day one. :o btw...if this game turns out to be sub-HD...watch out. The pixel counters are always watching...look what is happening to Resistance 3 as we speak and Alan wake last year. :/
"I'm a little world it might turn into the same thing over and over" Do you mean "worried" instead of "world"? You're a CoD-Head, so "the same thing over and over" shouldn't bother you at all.
Big words! I don't like people who speak of their creations in such ways. No modesty at all. I really don't like that even if it was true. Only time will tell.
BF3 represents the future of fps. iD must think we are living in 2007.
