What the #@%& is wrong with Firebrand?

CarlosX360 Writes: "Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 was revealed after months of rumors, speculation, and teasing. One character inclusion yielded a moment of ...silence, and oddly, laughter. What the hell is wrong with Firebrand's inclusion!?"

I'm hoping the leaked roster is just a mugen joke,We already have two chibi characters in this game,Why the hell do we need a retard racoon and Firebrand?

Peaceful_Jelly5074d ago (Edited 5074d ago )

Look at this vid, when they present Firebrand everybody is like: we don't want him!

Baka-akaB5074d ago

Why ? people lots of time people actually requested Firebrand , within and outside the famous votes on unity .

and geez ... if Marvel wanna push a char let them . Not everyone only knows marvel chars from the 90's cartoons , and plenty people actually happens read the books and like seeing some of the lesser known chars from current books in .

RockmanII75074d ago

Capcom's just being lazy, the only reason why he is in is because he was in the background in the ghouls and ghosts stage. That's why I think Daredevil will be DLC, he's in the background in one of the new stages.

radphil5074d ago (Edited 5074d ago )

I'm surprised no one here mentioned Demon's Crest on SNES where Firebrand was the main character.

So no he's not a "background" sort of thing.

It was also a good, and challenging game.

Let's not also forget Gargoyles Quest . Funny thing is some will whine about it , then proceed to request , no order the company to put in another equally obscure char that didnt get a game for eons too . (looking , as an example at some guy moaning about arthur etc , then requesting a breath of fire character)

CarlosX3605074d ago

Did you guys read the article, at all? I did mention those games.

radphil5073d ago

I'm talking about in the comments.

mamotte5073d ago

I dont know what. The SNES game was one of the best games I've ever played, and actually I've always been asking why Capcom has'nt made a sequel. But meh, players of this generation maybe dont even know who Firebrand is...

Capcom reveals its PC game [digital] sales overshadow console, and it's only growing

The earnings reports of Capcom's Fiscal year 2024 showcase the growth of PC over console, with 60% of game sales being made on the former.

Vits20d ago

What’s interesting is that, given how well their games sell, it’s very likely most of them fall into the 25/75 revenue split bracket. The larger ones, like Monster Hunter, are in the 20/80 bracket.

So even accounting for the vastly superior regional pricing on PC, I wouldn’t be surprised if revenue-wise from digital sales, both platforms are close, or if PC is ahead as well.

neutralgamer199219d ago (Edited 19d ago )

Yes PC is the biggest platform and it has definitely improved as a home console of sort plug and play. It's the only platform with actual freedom for gamers with modding. I was a console gamer for over 38 years and now I only play on Pc. Whether you are buying pre-built or building it yourself it's now easier than ever before to jump in

And my experience with pc gamers has been excellent, they are helpful with any questions on pc boards

FPS_D3TH19d ago

As a gamer who also loves replaying his old favorite titles, possibly with a few mods as well, I can’t imagine ever getting another console.

Profchaos19d ago (Edited 19d ago )

They spoke about resident evil and monster hunter I would actually find the monster hunter breakdown more interesting tbh as I've always felt like this game would be at home on PC

but for resident evil it's always felt like a PlayStation mainstay despite having exclusivity elsewhere likely because it was where I first played it. The game feels like it's begging to be played lights off in the loungeroom late at night or also in VR I've never been as scared as I was playing re7 in VR

dveio19d ago (Edited 19d ago )

Is this really suprising? Looking at the evolution of the Switch, X|S and Playstation 5?

Eonjay19d ago

The biggest cause is probably the lack of game purchases on the Xbox platform. Also keep in mind this is only digital sales so there is a chunk of sales not being shown here.
