Unsettling gusts of wind, a gloomy forest and a flickering black-and-white screen as a boy with glowing eyes lies unexplainably on the floor. There are no on-screen prompts as you are distinctly left alone to figure out how to pull a creaking wagon and shimmy down a rope before sailing off in a wooden boat into the foreboding mist. As far as opening scenes go, this has to be one of the coldest but it is one that couldn’t be more indicative of the game that follows.
