Brink storytelling complaints are "perfectly valid" - Splash Damage

OXM UK: "In a lengthy, interesting reflection on the controversial Brink, Splash Damage's Ed Stern has identified a "fundamental mismatch" between the game's team-based shooting and its sprawling, dug-in backstory, stemming from the irreconcilability of storytelling and interactivity in general."

The story is too old to be commented.

I think the trouble with Brink's story is that it's chopped up and hidden away behind all the shooting, like he says. The Ark is an interesting (and original) setting, but you're never given the time to dwell on it.
