Gotta love getting free games, Cloud saving, automatic downloading, and discounted games for $50 a year, instead of just being given the ability to play the online component of your already bought game. lol

PS+ has already paid for itself 3 fold for me. I will definitely be re-upping my subscription when it goes out in another year. Can't wait to play some Limbo!!!!

That's true, I guess. There are other features that XBL Gold offers you, BUT I offer you this question: If online gaming were free like PSN, and Gold offered you all those features you just mentioned, do you think you would pay for Gold anymore? I'm honestly curious. It's an interesting question. Kinda hard to say, I suppose. I'm just curious how much people REALLY care about those features, or if they just buy Gold subscriptions to keep playing games online.

@ blumatt yes i would. Just for the reason for cross game chat. I use that everyday im on the xbox. Everything else is cool. But its nice talking to a family memeber or friend that is in the army or away on business and still being able to shoot the shizzle with them even if you dont wanna play the same game. its all a preference and for me the features xboxlive bring make it worth it to me.

Cloud saving? LOL, I can just save my games on a USB and transfer the saves to my laptop.

Automatic downloading? Who cares? I'll just download what I have to download when I see it.

Most of the free stuff they give out are old Sega games and DLC for PSN games that barely anyone has.

Also, full game trials for 9 month old games? I honestly don't care. I get a better experience watching the full game walkthroughs on Youtube...for free.

Those Sega games are free in addition to the monthly PSN games. They are nothing but bonuses.

Plus, you're forgetting (or ignoring) the other stuff, like PSone games, minis, betas, avatars, themes, and discounts, and other random bonuses (like Stacking).

If it's your opinion that those things aren't worth it, that's fine and dandy, but your little analysis of the games offered for free isn't even remotely accurate.

And not all game saves can be copied to USB. They can be uploaded though.

I care about auto downloads. When there's a new patch or update you can sit there and wait for it to download, I'll let my ps3 do it while I'm sleeping.

Does this work for PS3 games as well? For example, lets say a new Mortal Kombat patch comes out. Will the PS3 automatically download it , even if the Mortal Kombat disc isn't in my PS3?

Finding myself increasingly disappointed with the PS Plus updates, what felt like 3 months of Genesis ports is now just leading into a 3 year old Worms/Soldat clone.

Don't worry. Now that they got all the free PS+ users out of the loop, they can now jack up the real deals! I use to see so many discounts on PSOne classics and all downloadable games, but since the PS+ was free, many of those discounts have vanished!

Kinda stupid on Sony's behalf, as many gamers will think this is all PS+ has to offer and never bother with it! Sony would have been better off not offering it!

I thought PS+ was a bit poor when I got it free for a month. I didn't find anything worth getting apart from the free games, which were for PSN been down anyhow.
They didn't make me want to pay for it with the month trial.

No doubt, even this update is better then Golden Axe don't get me wrong. I just don't see the incentive if you have 95% of the exclusive gems (Flower,Eden,shooter etc) and buy most stuff you want right when it comes out.

The only thing I really get out of PS+ is the odd beta. Not really worth the price tag, something I really wish wasn't the case considering Sony already has my money for it.

Shouldn't need to add a disclaimer, the Playstation only crowd hasn't devolved into a pitch fork wielding mob...yet.

Idk im happy with it, i admit i thougt it would be more consistant though. One month you get stacking, one month comet crash, then like a few months of crap minis and old garbage snk games. They need one good game a month imo. I like it for the discounts though, ive probly saved 20 bucks so far and i have 9 monts left? Thing is it makes you buy more games because you see discounts and deals so its really a sneaky way to get a sub and sell more games lol. Hell if you like arcade games like me def give it a go.

Looks like a good month, but I already have Crash Commando... that has happened to me quite a bit. Now I tend to buy less games in fear that it will be free of PS+ and I'll kick myself later. I downloaded PacMan and they sent me a free download for it in my PSN mail the next day. That sucks, because I love free stuffs... especially free beer.

I like PS+ cause i've had thousands of dollars worth of stuff and paid only $70AU for it.

Take Castle Crashers as an example, i would have never bought the game. It costs over $20 here in Australia to buy and it came free and turns out to be a really good game and that was only one item in a month. Among many other games and addons. You'd have to be crazy not to see the value in it.

Damn it!! I wish I could back up my saves normally :( I have to depend on either backing up EVERYTHING on my HDD or that cloud saving... I only got a month left of the free 30 days...
It is $40 right now... but I don't buy much on the store besides DLC, those niche Japanese games and whatnot...
