Ken McKown Writes: When I reviewed the original Deadliest Warrior game last year, I came away impressed simply because the game was mindless, gruesome fun. Now, Pipeworks has returned with a follow-up, and while it adds plenty to the formula, I really feel this would have been better served as a DLC package as opposed to a full-fledged game. Still, if you never checked out the original, Legends makes it nearly useless to even bother with it as it retains everything that made the original fun and adds to it. If you enjoy mindless fighting action that relies more on chance and luck as opposed to skill and combat prowess, then Deadliest Warrior Legends is definitely for you.
"eadliest Warrior spawned two Xbox Live DLC games, Deadliest Warrior: The Game in which the player fights as different types of warriors throughout history (ninja, viking, knight, etc.), and Deadliest Warrior: Legends in which the player fights different military historical figures (Alexander the Great, Shaka Zulu, Joan of Arc, etc.)"

Liam Pritchard of Brash Games writes "Little more than a year after its release, Deadliest Warrior returns, only this time with real historical figures. Unlike the original which, like the show, pitted vague historical archetypes against each other to see who would come out on top".
