Uncharted 3's ship level - GRTV interview

Naughty Dog's Jacob Minkoff did not only sport the most stylish moustache of this year's E3, but he was also responsible for designing the level which got the most crowd response at Sony's press conference, the ship level in Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. Minkoff, who also designed the memorable train level in the second game talks about level design in general and the challenge and opportunities the improved engine offers in this interview with GRTV.

I agree. Hopefully other PS3 devs can surpass it. I still believe that the PS3 has more juice to squeeze out.

I wanna see someone live up to that Killzone trailer in 2005. KZ3 made a great attempt...but NO game on consoles has touched the smoothness of the facial animations, the motion blur, and the level of anti-aliasing of that KZ 2005 trailer.

I personally believe that Agent can do it.

@ LOGICWINS - what is the basis of that belief? We've seen nothing but a logo...

Wait for Final Fantasy Versus XIII though.

im glad they wont be releasing stuff in the MP before the game releases that will spoil any suprises like any really suprising locations.

un frigiin believable.looks intense. it reminds back in the day of earthworm jim 2 in the underground sand level where the walking platforms would change with you shooting the sand around you. obviously this is well advanced but im loving these new ways of designing levels.

I like the part when he says that Naughty Dog will keep surprises for the gamer when he will put his game in the console.

Nowadays with all those trailers and 1 hour gameplay, people have less and less surprises and are continuously spoiled. If people are happy with that, it's not my cup of tea.

I like discovering a game like a land no one have put a step on it, it's very difficult today to have that feeling, but when it happens, you live a really good moment.

i hope Naughty Dog will do their best not to spoil gamers with the content of their game.
