Tired of the same old control points, flag captures, and deathmatches? Here's five multiplayer modes that keep things interesting.
After Valve released the Team Fortress 2 source code, developers and modders are reviving TF2 VR, making it bigger and better than ever.
Seems dumb, multiplayer fast paced VR... Sounds like a recipe for disaster.
Source 2 versions of the games they had, remakes or sequels to their games should've come out like a decade ago, now they'd need a heavily upgraded Source 2 or just Source 3 to be up to par with current engines tbh..
Ayi Sanchez: "Old work. I did this 10 years ago now as part of a material test for a remaster of Gears of War 2 that never happened."
Weird, in mean they had no studios to make anything really new so there's a part of me thats kinda glad they scrapped it. If they released this back then it would of gotten ridiculed for remakes and remastering stuff. Now they have new and interesting games so the collection is harmless.
Geez, Xbox, something like that I would’ve bought Day 1. Great business decisions over there.
I can only assume the the Gears of War Remaster flopped so they decided to scrap the other remakes?
Seems short sighted to me as I really enjoyed the 1st remaster. Regardless, I'll snap up some remakes to play on my PS5.
Valve: "Mod makers, rejoice! We've just released a massive update to the Source SDK, adding all the Team Fortress 2 client and server game code. This update will allow content creators to build completely new games based on TF2. We're also doing a big update to all our multiplayer back-catalogue Source engine titles (TF2, DoD:S, HL2:DM, CS:S, and HLDM:S), adding 64-bit binary support, a scalable HUD/UI, prediction fixes, and a lot of other improvements!"
I really liked the underappreciated Infestation multiplayer mode in Rebellion's 2010 Aliens vs. Predator reboot. All players but one start as marines while the lone player starts as an alien. For each marine killed, a new alien spawns. Tons of fun.
Action replay tweak a Halo 2 game mode so the bomb arm time is 0 seconds and the detonation time is 0 seconds :P
Find 15 friends and have a 1 vs 15 single-base assault - it is immense.
Also. Counter-op in perfect dark was a cool idea.
Then you also have prophunt in counter strike, zombie mod in counter strike, gungame in counter strike. All 3 of them are incredibly awesome multiplayer modes with thousands of unique maps that make the game worth owning even if you don't like the default mode. gungame and zombie mod have been heavily ripped off since.
Still digging the Spies vs. Mercs multiplayer in Splinter Cell: Double Agent. That changed things up nicely, too.
But I'm so tired I Halo. I physically can't play it anymore, I actually get sleepy. :(
