IGN - Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon Review

Anthony Gallegos: Insect Armageddon is terribly cheesy in all the right ways. The performance issues it has, especially during split screen, can become annoying at times, but the mindless shooting is simply too fun to keep me from caring all that much. I’ve completed it once on normal, and can’t wait to play through it again and again with my buddies. It isn’t the best at anything, but it’s got a flair for the ridiculous that makes it unique in a genre that often takes itself a little too seriously.

The story is too old to be commented.

I'm surprisingly looking forward to this, one of those games that is so bad that's it's a blast to play in co-op at least.

It's not really a bad game at all, the biggest problem i have noticied is a glitch where the sound goes bonkers for a couple minutes. I have not done too much online play, the game isn't to hard on normal till 3-1, at least till you fight large hectors.

Quick tip for ravager carriers and small hectors, assault rifles ect seem to be more effective against them early on especially the carriers if you have a semi decent dmg to reload speed ar, at least in my experience.

For $39.99 i am satisfied, although if vicious decides to release some dlc with new bugs to paint the walls with, that would be nice.

Well it comes out in the UK next week so I have to wait a while to get my hands on it but I'm glad you're having fun with it!

Really good game. My only gripe: the sometimes [very awful] hit detection.

Note to the trophy/achievement hunters: Be prepared to plunk down many hours. It's a "grind-fest".

Have not really noticed hit detection issues, then again i'm basically blasting non stop, is it with explosive weapons by any chance.

I find I'm missing a lot with the assault rifles for some odd reason.
