Ubisoft acquires Digital Kids

Ubisoft has concluded an agreement to acquire the Japanese development studio Digital Kids.

Digital Kids, established in 1996, specialises in games for the Nintendo DS and has developed several successful titles for Ubisoft's Petz franchise, including Hamsterz Life.

"This acquisition attests to Ubisoft's capacity to establish successful partnerships in new territories and reinforces its advance on casual games," said Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot.
