"While making a previous run through Oblivion's main quest, I noticed a key feature that may have a connection to the shrouded-in-mystery story of Bethesda's upcoming title The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim."
Virtuos is currently working on a multiplatform Unreal Engine 5 remake, which is rumored to be The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
I thought they’d go for Morrowind first to be honest but this is a welcoming surprise to tide us over before ES6
Unreal Engine isn't efficient for open world games, so I question the reliability of this story.
Hopefully modders can fix the aged combart in this game if this is true. Enemies leveling up with you broke and defeated the whole purpose of leveling up.
Replaying Skyrim after 13 years is a reminder of the progress made in western RPGs over the last decade, but also what's been lost.
RPGs are often huge, sprawling endeavours. With limited playtime, we have to choose wisely, so here's the best western RPGs available today.
"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!
How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera
And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

Some horrible ancient evil have been released, and you are The One.
Fin.
The Song of Ice an Fire, the Elder Scrolls series is not. Thats ok though, open world RPGs still roxor.
Dark Souls will shit on this ,.. Sorry, but true,.. because Demon's Souls is a better fucking game,.. as a game,..
third person view will be broken as always,.. and Morrowind will still remain the best Bethesda game,.. since they are dumbing down games incrementally,.. LOL they made Fallout a better rpg,.. and that was not even their game,..
Really hope it is good,.. don't want 200 hours and 10 were actually fun,.. You know gameplay design and shit,.. not bethesda's strongest point,.. at least fallout had gore trough ass,..kinda helped,..
