Game looks so good that it shines even through this crap quality player.

SilentNegotiator2662d ago

Yea, Gametrailers. lol

You'd figure that they would put more into their player when videos are generally the main component of "TRAILERS"

But I still have sooo many questions, how will they keep the pace of this story. Although this is closed open world it still has some outstanding things you can do, pointing your gun at someone to tell them to back off? Can you do that for all of the people who are attacking others. Stopping A lynching and taking down a Hot air balloon all while your trying to get to your destination. OH Wait did I mention that that was an OPTIONAL choice to take that route she asked which way you wanted to go. I mean the amount of work is amazing. What would of happened if you had gotten caught back at the gift shop, could you, would you die, would she be taken back right there? I mean there is so much but will a lot of it really be that open ended or will it be really nitpicky on small specific things. Where is the line to draw of where you can go and when?

No, this is perfection..perfected :)

No this is perfection, perfected, than perfected by the golden hands of god himself.

The level of imagination in this game makes me shed a tear. Literally shits on practically any game I played in the past 4 years.

Such a surge of emotion in that 15 minute demo, brilliant stuff.

LOGICWINS2662d ago (Edited 2662d ago )

Looks great. Hopefully it has a multiplayer aspect. Ken Levine said that the interaction between Booker and the girl was inspired by the chemistry of Left 4 Dead characters. If there is an MP component, it will likely be similar to Left 4 Dead.

Sadly, as amazing as this game looks, if its SP only, then MANY people will rent it for a week to experience the campaign as opposed to buying it for $60.

Meh, I don't know.

Alot of my friends bought Bioshock simply because it's atmosphere and narrative were so strong that they were glad to replay a game like that over and over again.

The narrative is one of the main reasons why most people buy Ken's games. I suspect they'll do the same.

"Alot of my friends bought Bioshock simply because it's atmosphere and narrative were so strong that they were glad to replay a game like that over and over again."

This generation is dominated by casual party games and shooters. The reality is that the majority of gamers these days don't think the way your friends do.

For me personally, I have no problem buying a single player only game as long as it has TONS of unlockables, great story, and variety.

Btw, I hear Bioshock has a 20 hour story mode and then you would want to replay it for trophies. I'm going to pick it up tommorow. If I like it, then I'll be happy to buy Bioshock Infinite.

TimTebo2662d ago

Agreed. Not even movies today have as much imagination as seen here.

Quite sad to be honest.

Games looks brilliant though. I see now why it won 75 e3 awards.

JellyJelly2662d ago

Are they still using Unreal Engine 3? If so they've done an amazing job with it!

HaterRade2662d ago (Edited 2662d ago )

Bioshock did end up selling 4 million copies. So obviously they found an audience that didn't need a tacked on multiplayer.

Also the game isn't quite 20 hours...But it's really how much time you put into it. If you walk around, really immersive yourself in the brilliant atmosphere, collect every audio diary, really look at every detail, than yes it most defintly could take you that long.

But when you finish the game there is a New game + option, and Challenge Rooms where you basically have to solve these puzzles in these new created levels with just your plasmids and weapons. Quite fun stuff.

LOGICWINS2662d ago (Edited 2662d ago )

I'm happy they managed to sell that much. I loved the Bioshock demo but I never got around to actually getting.

Either way, I think that a good MP mode would influence more people to put this game on their radar.

EDIT: That all sounds really cool. Can't wait to buy it. I'm looking at Gamestop's website right now and Bioshock 2 is actually cheaper than Bioshock 1!

HaterRade2662d ago (Edited 2662d ago )

Perhaps, but the people at Irrational aren't really about that.

Ken Levine (the creator) said there more than willing to create a multiplayer component, IF and only IF, it's something that has never been seen before.

Bioshock 2 (different developers made this one) had multiplayer, and to be honest it made the game even worse (believe it or not)
