Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls attempts to recapture the magic of those old games with a painstaking recreation of the first person dungeon crawling we once knew and loved. Unfortunately for some, it may hold its 30 year old roots a little too dear.
COGconnected: XSEED and Acquire have successfully revived Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls, this time for the PC! Read on to learn more about this legacy dungeon crawler.
Kevin writes: "Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls is a decently constructed title that continues the classic series' traditions very well. However, the real value lies in how big of a fan of the series you are, or how much you enjoy other Dungeon Crawling RPG's in general."
Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls is a blast from the past that's initially overly challenging. Persist, however, and you're likely to enjoy it.
I'm gald Xseed decided to publish this. Unfortunately I haven't play any dungeon crawlers (Dark Spire, Etrian Odyssey, the old MegaTen games come to mind), so when I played the demo, I wasn't so good at it lol. Anyways I think I'll just have to take a good look at the mechanics in some guide and I'll probably be good to go :)
Good to see the reviewer know what he's talking about too!
