The King of Collectors: Full Playstation 2 NTSC Library Sealed

PS Collectors: "Most kids of the 80’s and after played video games in their youth and some of these kids kept the games of yesteryear for nostalgic reasons. What happens if this kid continues to buy old video games for the sake of having them, for the sake of completion? A video game collector is born!
Now, odds are that you’re a video game collector yourself since you’re reading this intro. Our kind has different types of collectors: people with certain criteria (RPG, sealed, unofficial etc) and completionists. These completionists want every game in the library of a console, which can be a fairly easy feat for some consoles and a near impossible task for others.
Our community member Ahans76 is someone that went for the impossible… and pulled it off!"

"To the best of my knowledge it’s about 1850+ different titles"

That's over $100,000 in PS2 Games alone!? This guy better keep his address a secret. He's apparently only 23.

liveActionLeveler2753d ago

It would suck really bad if there was a tornado or something like that at his house. Possibly an accidental fire. That would be more realistic.

zootang2753d ago

A proper PlayStation fan.

fossilfern2753d ago

23?! jesus thats young to have this kind of value laying about in his home and to actually have a full collection I'm 20 ,near 21, and my collection of games is just games from systems I liked or missed out on. Been thinking about getting a full Gamecube or Dreamcast PAL collection

Master_S2753d ago (Edited 2753d ago )

This man don't have social life.

DragonKnight2753d ago

Says the guy on N4G commenting about him.

I don't know if you know this or not, but it doesn't take very much effort to buy something. Maybe it takes effort to look for a game, but collector's aren't necessarily shut ins that spend their entire time looking for the next thing on their list.

What if he buys one game a day? You're saying it takes him 16 hours to buy a game and 8 hours to sleep?

Honestly. People who make comments like yours often hide the fact that they are the ones with no social life.

barb_wire2753d ago

You're right it doesn't take any effort to buy something.. but given that that PS2 collection is sealed, he's never played them.. His he a gamer or an investment hoarder? I guess he's hoping that in 10 or 20 years those games will be worth 5x or 10x what he paid for them.

Still, it's his money.. kind of a waste if you ask me, I'd rather play games than look at them on a shelf collecting dust.

@barb_wire :

We are human beings ,.. We do and have done stranger shit,..

I kinda think that is cool in a way :),.. Strange but interesting way to celibate gaming,..

DrRichtofen2753d ago

Thats just ridiculous he could of used the money for other things. I doubt he's even played them all.

Peaceful_Jelly2753d ago (Edited 2753d ago )

I don't think anybody would have the time to play 1800+ games(all PS2). Not even a person with no life. On top of that the guy has like 400 PSP games, lots of PS1, PS3 and turbografx 16 games and almost the entire collection of NeoGeo AES games (his only missing 2).

NeoGeo games are not only hard to find but expensive as hell too. That guys is sooo crazy for games that he payed $300 for a crappy game like Wizardry: Tale of the Forsaken Land just because he couldn't find one that didn't had a hole in the barcode. 0_O

I seriously don't have any idea how the heck he has a wife or from where he gets all that money to spend on games.

fossilfern2753d ago

Its his own money to spend on what he likes I don't see the problem

Jerkstore812753d ago

I'd be more impressed if he actually played all those games.
