MonkeyPaw Games has released two Japanese PlayStation Network games, Rapid Angel and Yakiniku Bugyou, into PSN's import store. This is the first time that gamers will be able to to play these direct-from-Japan imports.
PS3 Attitude says: "Recently I had the chance to try out a couple of games which to my knowledge did knot exist before they hit the store. Two PSone era Japanese imports which may not have stood the test of time but whose gameplay mechanics we still see today."
Rapid Angel by Japanese developer Techo Soleil is an awkward venue of side-scrolling action that follows the story of three young girls. While the plot of the game is not necessarily described on MonkeyPaw’s website (the game is written in Japanese after all), it is assumed that the story involves important documents and large sums of money. There is a villain group hellbent on stopping the young girls, and they intervene every step of the way.
Examiner: Given MonkeyPaw Games' penchant for bringing over little-known (and some well-known) Japanese-developed PlayStation games, it's no surprise that they would eventually get into the cooking/restaurant genre at some point. Yakiniku Bugyou takes the Japanese art of grilling and puts it in a game where different dishes cook at different speeds and every customer is both picky and impatient.
